Connecting Academia and Practice: Bridging the Gap
for Innovation in the Artificial Intelligence Era
22 NOVEMBER 2025

CONFERENCE TRACKS

FIRST TRACK:
“BUSINESS INNOVATION IN THE AI ERA:
STRATEGIC OPPORTUNITIES AND RISKS”
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionising business by
transforming decision-making, efficiency, and innovation
across various business disciplines.
This track explores AI’s vast opportunities while
addressing risks such as ethical concerns, regulatory
compliance, and sustainability challenges, ensuring
responsible and effective AI governance in the evolving
business landscape.

SECOND TRACK:
“RESILIENT AND INCLUSIVE ECONOMIES:
NAVIGATING GLOBAL SHIFTS”
Amid economic uncertainty, resilient and inclusive
economies emerge as essential pathways to unlocking
financial resources, strengthening social protection and
enhancing financial inclusion.
Addressing challenges such as red uced donor funding
and shifting global capital flows, this track explores
innovative approaches to ensuring decent work,
advancing development finance, and integrating circular
economy models into business practices.

THIRD TRACK:
“INNOVATIVE POLICIES IN TIMES OF CRISIS”
In light of growing regional and international crises, innovative
policy-making has emerged as a vital approach to addressing
rising inequalities, political instability, and public disillusionment
at the national level. The increasing burden of neoliberal reforms
and state indebtedness further underscores the need for
creative and inclusive policy solutions.
This track explores innovative policies as a platform for dialogue
and cooperation among diverse actors—governments,
international organizations, and civil society—to share ideas,
align interests, and propose strategies for overcoming
socioeconomic and political challenges. However, the success
of such policies depends heavily on political will, institutional
capacity, and coordinated action to ensure adaptive and
sustainable responses to today’s complex crises.

FOURTH TRACK:

ECONOMICS AND POLITICAL ISSUES”
The conference organisers are also pleased to invite
postgradu ate stud ents to submit their abstracts on
